FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years following their departure for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
